Applying to schools is both exciting and stressful. Colleges have become increasingly selective and their criteria for acceptance has become harder to pin down. The same could be said about private high schools and boarding schools. Good grades and solid standardized test scores are no longer guarantees for admittance to the school of your child's choice.

Admission Experience

At Gramercy Prep we understand the anxiety of applications and interviews because we encounter the process every year. We actually enjoy the work of supporting students through the admission experience. We see applications as a creative opportunity for students to share the parts of themselves that cannot be written in numbers and interviews as a chance to introduce these non-numerical selves in person. And we have plenty of reason to believe that our advice helps. Dozens of our alumni are now attending the colleges of their choice, and many are in the Ivy League. Our tutors get to know students pretty well and, because of this more close academic relationship, are often able to draw from the student the best personal essay.

Interview Prep Program

If your son or daughter needs interview experience sign them up for our interview prep program. We do our best to recreate the admissions office by administering mock one on one interviews. The interviewers use real admissions office questions and the interviews are video recorded for review and instruction.
